they'd probably kick me out

maurice and i just got back from target where we looked for a cup holder to hook onto my bed rail of my hospital bed because i get thirsty at night and i'm obviously unable to get up out of my bed and get something to drink because i'm in a wheelchair. i've been wanting to just get up out of bed by myself one night or early morning but i really don't want to take the chance of falling down and not being able to get back in my bed because knowing my luck- i would probably end up getting hurt and/or not being able to live on my own anymore. there's another man in the same living/housing program that can't hear and is in a wheelchair, who had the ambulance called for him one day and the supervisor of this housing/living site said to me that she hoped that i would never have to have the ambulance called for me, she said it like she kind of suspected it having to happen. i also have a health alert system, which is a system where if i need help i can just press a button and some people are on a surveillance-like system where they'll help you if you press the button for a reason such as if you fall out of bed or something. that same man that had the ambulance called on him is still in this housing/living program though. they may think of trying to find a way to get me outta this program if i tried to get out of bed myself though. he might still be here because he's deaf and handicapped and a whole bunch of other junk.
